Welcome to Mont Calm, our family owned care home in Maidstone. Mont Calm was established in 1987 by Michael and Lisette Lisis. Drawing on their experiences as hospital managers, Mont Calm was created and became the first care home in Maidstone to specialise in Dementia care. We provide both long and short term care for elderly ladies and gentlemen, with a special interest in helping people with all levels of dementia and memory impairment.
Based on the ethos instilled by Michael and Lisette, Mont Calm continues to provide the highest level of care for all of our residents in a comfortable, safe environment that truly is a home-from-home. Mont Calm is located in a peaceful area within walking distance of Maidstone’s town centre. The home is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and patio areas which can be enjoyed all year round.

Nursing Care
At Mont Calm we provide twenty-four hour care for our residents. Our experienced and dedicated staff enable us to care for those with Dementia, those who are terminally ill and those with high dependency needs. Our Management Team is supported by professional care assistants. Care is delivered using a method known as key worker: each resident is allocated a carer who will soon become a familiar face. Along with the Management Team the allocated carer will be able to answer any queries or anxieties that our resident or relatives may have.
Medical Care
In the event of either illness or an emergency, only the next of kin will be notified unless otherwise recorded in your personal plan: this can be discussed during your admission.
Our Staff
We recognise the importance and value of our staff, from our managers, carers, activities coordinators, gardeners, house keepers and maintenance people. We ensure that they have the skills necessary to carry out their respective jobs, keeping the home running happy and harmoniously. You can be confident that the number of staff on duty at all times will be sufficient to provide full support and meet the care needs. Our uniformed staff all wear badges identifying them by name and designation.
